Shuffle

Animals are moving out, animals are moving in, the Room's starting to get busy! Did you know it's spring? I know it's spring because about a hundred kittens arrived at TAS South today (okay I might be exaggerating a bit).
Starburst the budgie was adopted! And I finally got a decent photo of her! She was adopted by a family who had recently lost their budgie, and drove over an hour to the shelter to get her.
There's also an adoption application for Jasmine already! Two days after she arrived! I thought she had an awesome personality, but that is just impressive. Of course she still has to be spayed, so she hasn't left the building yet.
Remember Martha the Eternally Pregnant Foster Guinea Pig? She turned out to not be pregnant after all, astonishing everyone. That is one fat guinea pig. She needs to lose weight now, ha! She's also a total sweetheart, and my mom fell in love with her, although she won't admit it. She's back at the shelter now waiting for a home.

Vanilla, the other guinea pig who arrived at the same time as Martha and was also thought to be pregnant, turned out....not to be pregnant. Same with the other two we had in foster! These guinea pigs are messing with our minds. Luckily, Vanilla got to live in an awesome foster home for two months and is much friendlier/healthier now, so at least it wasn't a waste of time.

I don't think I've ever mentioned her here, but this is Maggie. She's been waiting at Pet Valu for about a month now.
That dubious segue leads to some exciting news...we're having an adopt-a-thon this weekend! On the 9th and 10th, Nicola (one of the shelter staff) and I will be at our friendly neighbourhood Pet Valu with a bunch of small animals. The store is doing a huge promotion - the whole chain is doing a 'Pet Appreciation Weekend' and collecting donations for various animal charities.
Our Pet Valu is collecting donations for us, with 75% going to us and 25% going to the OSPCA. They've already raised a substantial amount of money and the event hasn't even started! It's going to be a fun event, with giveaways, refreshments and a bunch of animals. If you're in the neighbourhood, come down to King & Dufferin and join us! I'm really looking forward to it.
In terms of shelter news, we also have new rats, but there are so many of them they deserve their own post. Trust me when I say they are super cute. Consider this blurry, poor example of photography a teaser.
Does this post seem a little giddy? That would be because today was my last day of classes! Just exams and then I'm free, free for four months! To work, yes, but still. Freedom!

Instead, they may pick contemporary music for their special day. For rhythm and blues or pop lovers, a song such as Beyonce's "Daddy" has the modern sound and sweet lyrics that make it appealing for a contemporary wedding.

19. "Baby Got Back" Sir Mix A Lot: "You're drunk. You can't sing. Wherever Saturn is in you chart is where you will learn the most and have the most development over the course of its transit. The affects of Saturn in the angular houses (1st, 4th, 7th, and 10th houses) can garner more of a public reaction and response. With Saturn in the other houses the affects aren always so public..

Republics, such as that of the United States, feature a number of directly elected representatives chosen by voters. The final form of government is basically an absence of leadership, known as anarchy. This is found within many failed states where the government has collapsed.

If you choose to stray from tradition, you will likely want to consider a more fast paced and energizing song. Popular songs to play during the bridal party dance include Have Fun Tonight by Wang Chung, Takes Two by Rob Base and That Funky Music by Wild Cherry. Although these songs do not necessarily carry any sentiment, they will be a great way to kick off the beginning of open dancing.

A handkerchief is tucked into the pocket and a long, skinny microphone is held in one hand. A jet black wig is worn, slicked back at the side and puffed out at the top.
